The guest list, who should be invited at wedding?
When it comes to the question of who should be invited to the wedding, some may get stomach upset. Must that aunt or uncle we never meet be invited and must we repay the invitation if we have been to a friend's wedding before? There are many questions and concerns; we help you with our view of the matter.
First of all, you must have made clear to you how many you can actually bid along your budget. Then make a dream guest list and just write down the ones on your respective pages you actually want to invite.
The most important thing then to remember when it comes to who is to be invited is that this is ER day and no one else's. A rule of thumb when it comes to weddings is that you "only" invite those you actually spend time with. If you do not spend time with aunt or uncle, do not invite them unless you feel that you want it yourself. You should never invite anyone for bad conscience on someone else's behalf. It is you who will marry you and you choose who you want to share this day with. When it comes to friends whose wedding you have been to, it is difficult not to invite them. Was their wedding ten years ago and you have not been socializing then we do not think you have to invite them. Were their wedding just a year ago, then they should be on your guest list.
Children
As for children, it is most common for them to stay at home. Weddings are an adult party and most people appreciate if they can relax without the company of children. Do you have your own children and feel that they should be there so there is someone who can take responsibility for them during the evening so you do not have to be a mother and father without a bride and groom. A children's table is usually preferred to them. Regarding babies, nursing babies are usually allowed as they are difficult to leave. Be clear in the invitation as to why no one will be disappointed afterwards.
Friends
Some bridal couples would like most of their guests to be friends and nothing strange about it. Be clear to your immediate family from the start and say that you will be a little unconventional and only invite the closest relatives, siblings, parents, grandparents and they know what to say to the relatives who are hoping for an invitation.
Hard to be everyone
Whatever you do with your guest list, there is always someone who will be disappointed that they were not invited (unless you have an unlimited budget) but again most people understand that there is a limit often in both budget and in how many can be accommodated in a local. Just be clear about what you want to do and what you feel about it will be a fantastic day.
